Can God Heal?
This story has been floating round the web for a couple of days now. Essential the Advertising Standards people have banned a flyer from the Bath Healing On The Streets group claiming God can heal the sick. The reactions have, predictably, been rather hysterical.
Here are two rather more measured responses.
An op-ed in the Telegraph and Adrian Warnock’s blog (this is the better of the two and. He gives some good Biblical thinking to the whole matter).
The Telegraph piece uses a John Locke quote, which I rather like. They say:

“distinguish exactly the business of civil government from that of religion and to settle the just bounds that lie between the one and the other”.
